Wild American Ginseng grows in the U.S. and Canada. American ginseng has been harvested as a cash crop for over 200 years. Daniel Boone and Davy Crockett are said to have made large sums of money in ginseng trafficking. At one point, American ginseng was almost wiped out along the eastern seaboard due to overharvesting. Wild American ginseng’s ginsenosides differ from those of Korean ginseng, although the two share similar properties. American ginseng is the more expensive of the two ginsengs and is considered to have more cooling properties than its Asian counterpart. Women who desire to use ginseng generally do better with this variety. It is only used after the roots are aged at least four years. Ingredients Each capsule contains 550 mg of wild American ginseng root (Panax quinquefolius). Recommended Usage Take 2 capsules with a meal twice daily.
