Bandit’s Breath Busters

1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup powdered milk
1 teaspoon dried parsley
2 bouillon cubes dissolved in 3/4 cup water
6 tablespoons olive oil
1 egg

Put everything in your bread mixer or bread machine and let if go through the knead cycle. Roll out to desired thickness and cut into desired shapes. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes, until sides turn brown.

Variations:
Mix your flours! Rye, oat, spelt, etc.
Mix your flavors! Use vegetable, chicken, beef cubes.
Roll your cookies in sunflower seeds, oats, etc. for a different style.

These cookies come out nice and crisp and are great for tarter control!

Bandit’s Flea Buster Deodorant

8 oz. water
4-6 drops of Tea Tree Oil
4-6 drops of Lavendar Oil

Mix and place in a spray bottle, keep by the door to spritz as you or your pet go outside to deter fleas and mosquitoes. Lightly spray bedding and outdoor kennels to deter fleas and mosquitoes.

Bandit’s Flea and Tick Buster Shampoo

2 oz. Sunshine Concentrate
2 oz. water
4 drops Tea Tree Oil

Mix and keep in a “shampoo bottle”. This “shampoo” is great for removing fleas, freshening the smell of the dog and it does not irritate sensitive skin.

Dr. Pitcairn’s Healthy Powder

2 cups nutritional yeast
1 cup lecithin granules
1/4 cup kelp powder
1/4 cup bone meal (or 9.000 milligrams calcium or 5 teaspoons eggshell powder)
1,000 milligrams vitamin C (ground) or 1/4 teaspoon sodium ascorbate

Mix all ingredients together in a 1-quart container and refrigerate.
Add this mixture to commercial food as follows: 1 to 2 teaspoons per day.

Bandit’s Super Green Recipe

10 capsules Barley Juice Powder
10 capsules Kelp
10 capsules Spirulina

Open capsules and add to a small jar, mix and store in a dry cool place. Sprinkle on food for a healthy boost 3-5 days per week.

In her book The Encyclopedia of Natural Pet Care, CJ Puotinen lists a recipe of Dr. Goldstein’s:

Health Cocktail

1/4 cup distilled or filtered pure water
1/2 cup organic carrot juice
1/2 cup celery juice
1 tablespoon Aloe Vera Juice
1 tablespoon Barley Juice Powder
1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
400 IU Vitamin E

Mix and keep refrigerated. Dr. Goldstein recommends this recipe for dogs and cats in ill health or making the transition from cooked to raw food.
