Benefits
• Improves circulation to the brain.
• Provides "brain food" for stress conditions.
• Protects the brain against dangerous free radicals.
• Improves capillary function.
• Increases resistance to aging.
Daily stresses can leave a person feeling mentally dull and fatigued. Certain kinds of workers are especially prone to mental fatigue, such as those in sedentary jobs or those who do repetitive tasks such as assembly line work.
Ginkgo/Gotu Kola Concentrate is an energetic combination containing 100 mg gotu kola
and 40 mg of ginkgo biloba leaf extract per tablet, standardized to 24 percent ginkgo flavone glycosides
. About 50 pounds of ginkgo leaves are required to produce one pound of extract. Ginkgo contains flavonoid glycosides like quercetin and other key compounds similar to gotu kola.
Ginkgo leaf extract
is very popular in Europe, where it has been the subject of significant scientific research for several years. Known as a powerful free radical scavenger, ginkgo also improves blood circulation to the brain, thereby optimizing the amount of oxygen supplied to brain cells. It may also help increase blood flow to the extremities.
Gotu kola is a creeping marsh plant widely used in India and East Asia. A member of the parsley family, it grows in tropical areas and is used in some places as ground cover to retard soil erosion. It grows primarily in India and some parts of Africa. It is also found in America, where it has generally been considered only a food for wild animals. Its name is misleading, as it does not contain caffeine like the kola nut.
Gotu kola has been called "brain food" by many herbalists, but is not a stimulant. It contains many nutrients that support the body's vitality and feed the nervous system, including vitamins A, B, E, G and K, and magnesium.
Bacopa
is an Ayurvedic compound isolated from the botanical Bacopa monniera. Studies show that bacopa stimulates memory through non-specific pathways.
Several trials have shown that bacopa supports the nervous system and helps with memory. Studies show that people who took bacopa supplements had reduced memorization time (time it takes to memorize an item), increased memory time (time that an item is stored in memory before being forgotten) and decreased retrieval time (the time it takes to retrieve the information from memory). Bacopa supplementation may also benefit children and adults who are challenged by focusing on tasks.
These three popular herbs are combined in a winning combination for optimal benefits in a concentrate that packs a punch in every tablet.
