A NOTE FROM RANDAL
Hello Everyone,
This issue is coming out early because we will be gone on an award cruise to
Canada during the normal time we send out this ezine. We are looking
forward to relaxing and getting away. I just hope we see some whales up
“close and personal!”
Last time we were in Canada was for our second honeymoon and we saw several
sea otters. In fact, we were so close we could see their adorable faces and
watch them in their sitting position floating on top of the ocean.
Our number of subscribers keeps increasing and we are grateful you are
sharing it with your family and friends.
Until next time,
Randal

FEATURED HERBAL FORMULA

HERBAL CA
This formula is especially designed to supplement the body with a natural
form of assimilable calcium, and is best taken with your regular Vitamin
Calcium with Magnesium supplement. Relatively high amounts of magnesium and
silicon also work to make calcium more effective, benefiting in particular
both the structural and nervous systems.

WEAK KNEES
(HealthDayNews) — Women are twice as likely to suffer serious knee injuries
as men, according to Rush-Presbyterian-St. Lukes Medical Center. Much has to
do with differences in the female and male anatomy.
Here are some was you can strengthen your knees and prevent injury:
* Improve your overall strength and fitness.
* Control your weight. When you walk, each extra pound adds four pounds
of pressure to the kneecap. And when you climb steps, that pound adds 20
pounds of pressure.
* Buy sturdy shoes made for the specific exercise you do. Replace them
when the inner or outer shoes appear worn.
* Strengthen your legs, especially your hamstrings. Try hamstring curls:
Lie on your back and draw your lower legs upward. Use resistance equal to
about 10 percent of your body weight. Do a few sets of repetitions; hold
them a second or two.

POLL: OBESE UNDER-10’S AT RAISED RISK OF DIABETES
LONDON (Reuters) – Children under 10 years old are at risk of developing
type 2 diabetes, a disease that normally affects adults, because of a rise
in childhood obesity, according to a poll released on Wednesday.
The survey of 200 cardiologists and internal medicine specialists from the
United States and Europe showed that 40 percent thought type 2 diabetes
could occur in the under 10s.
Nearly 70 percent said obese children under 14 are at risk of the illness,
which results from the body’s inability to respond to insulin which is
produced by the pancreas.
The survey was carried out by healthcare market research company Isis
Research.
“Type 2 diabetes has traditionally been seen as a risk factor in later
adulthood rather than in children, with some even labeling the condition as
“maturity-onset diabetes,” said Emma Smith of Isis.

MAGNESIUM COMPLEX – Repeated on purpose because of new information!
“I learned a new way to take our new Magnesium Complex. Joan Vandergriff
shared with me she is having clients open the capsules and placing the
powder under the tongue. Magnesium is being absorbed sublingually. It really
doesn’t have a taste and the effect is very beneficial. Dr. Greenberg in his
question and answer session Friday evening confirmed again that most of us
are very deficient in magnesium. So if you‚re concerned about diarrhea, this
might be a way to increase your magnesium levels without swallowing more
capsules.” Linda Jenks

RHODIOLA’S BENEFITS
Rhodiola (which is in Cellu-Smooth) reduced levels of the hormone cortisol,
while also helping cells synthesize a molecule called triphosphate, which
aids in the production of energy. Rhodiola increases the levels of the
brains feel-good chemicals serotonin and beta-endorphin by up to 30%.
Patients given rhodiola rosea extract lost an average of 20 pounds in 90
days, compared to patients in the control group who lost an average of only
8 pounds in the same period.

NON BORING TOFU
So many people say, tofu is boring and has no taste. However, I disagree!
My experience has been that tofu can be very tasty. Below are directions on
how to grill tofu with a marinate and tofu with a teriyaki sauce.
